Wantou Village (旺头村) sits on the edge of Madahu Lake (马踏湖) in Shandong — a place where willow and rush grow thick along the water and almost every household has a weaving bench in the yard. Our founder grew up watching his grandmother split, soak and weave willow into baskets that lasted a decade.
Teo's Craft exists to keep that craft alive and send it further. We work directly with 30+ village weavers, pay per piece at fair rates, and ship their work to homes and small shops in more than 40 countries. When you buy a basket here, the money goes to the person whose hands made it.

Four steps, all of them done by hand and by people we can call by name.
Willow and rush are cut by hand in late autumn, sorted by length, then soaked in the lake until the fibres turn supple enough to bend without cracking.
Each basket is built over a wooden mould, one strand over one strand. A single laundry basket takes about two hours of continuous handwork.
Every export order is heat-treated and fumigated, then issued a phytosanitary certificate so it clears EU, US, UK and AU customs without hold-ups.
Packed into reinforced cartons and shipped from Qingdao port. Samples go by air in 7–12 days; bulk orders by sea in 25–35 days.
